Princess Provocateur

Since ancient times, it has been tradition for a Villain to capture a Princess...sometimes several...as part of their evil scheme to conquer the world, destroy all happiness. or some other common trope. As prophesied (or foretold, or written in the film script in bold font), a Hero would appear to defeat the Villain, save the world, and win the heart of the Princess!

Well, the Princesses have something to say about that.

Princess Provocateur is a card-based story-telling RPG where everyone portrays a group of capable (and sometimes eccentric) Princesses escaping the clutches of a Villain, while simultaneously trying to avoid the hapless, glorified Hero. You take turns narrating a bit of the adventure in the third-person, passing off the story...and a challenge...to the next Princess when you feel ready. All you need is three to six players, a full deck of cards (yep, Jokers included!), and a single twelve-sided die.

Princess Provocateur was something that I originally wrote waaaaaaay back in 2012, and was one of my first attempts to try and make a card-based, minimalistic RPG, inspired by games like Ben Lehman's Hot Guys Making Out and Jake Richmond's GxB. This version makes some quality-of-life edits to the rules of the original, and integrates some of the playtesting notes I took back then.
